I hope you know La Luna Tapas by now! If the answer is no, you’re missing out on a great spot for a night out with friends or family! Aren’t you on the lookout for good deals in the Chamonix valley? Are you? Then read these lines and don’t waste a minute to go to the tapas bar of l’hôtel La Fontaine, in Les Houches. A clear round for La Luna !
A tapas bar from which you leave satisfied!
An almost secret spot
La Luna is not a restaurant per se. It’s more like a lounge area where you can chill out and eat. In French, it’s a cool, casual place where you order dishes to share.
In fact, I hesitate to tell you about it and keep this good address in the Chamonix valley a secret so that I can be sure to always have a table when I want to spend the evening there. Okay, it’s so good that I can’t keep it to myself.
A talented and generous cook
If you think you’re coming here for a snack, you’re barking up the wrong tree! (And that would be a shame with the view from La Luna’s terrace.) Marion’s tapas and dishes fill you up and are so good you’ll lick your plate!
Discreet, I discovered this place almost by chance, and what a good choice! At the gates of Servoz, nestled in the completely renovated La Fontaine hotel, Marion and Aurélien welcome you with sincerity. You can feel that they love people, talking with them and this sharing spirit is found in their cooking and their cocktails. Fresh products, seasonal, home-made, and above all originality.
With the buddies, we like to invade a big table and being unable to decide on the choice of tapas, we order a little of everything. Quesadillas, ceviche, chorizo or chicken casserole, wraps, cheese & charcuterie board, toast of the moment, Savoyard tapas… The whole menu is there! It must be said that the quality-price ratio is exceptional! All this washed down with Mont Blanc beer or house cocktail.
This summer, La Luna proposes 5 tapas which change every week, 2 burgers and a suggestion on the weekend. Open from 4pm to 11pm, 7/7, Marion might see you quite often if you decide to book! And yes, it’s better to reserve, because the good address is taken by storm and when you come once, you’ll inevitably go back!
Marion told me about the roasted figs with honey and goat cheese and I must admit I really want to try it! If it’s not on the menu anymore, I’m sure another tapas just as delicious will have replaced it. Find the menu here !
Ideal with children
In addition to the delicious tapas, La Luna is the perfect place if you want to spend a good evening when your kids are in the “I can’t stand it” or “I’m bored, let’s go” age…
A game of table soccer for the more athletic ones or a game of Mario on the mythical Super Nintendo for the geeks and you’re in peace! I could look like an unworthy mother, but in truth, I make them as happy as I am by going to La Luna!
Little extras: the Hotel de la Fontaine has a large parking lot, a view of the Mont-Blanc and a really nice bar area.
