Welcome to this new bar-restaurant in Argentière ! Last May, Grégoire brought back to life the Yeti, the famous silver restaurant of the Grand Roc Gallery. A gigantic space left abandoned for too many years! A motivated and dynamic young man, the new owner of the brasserie has tons of ideas that he will implement as he goes along.
If I tell you 160 seats, does that mean anything to you or not? At the Yéti, there are 3 spaces: the huge terrace with a view of the Mont-Blanc, a restaurant room on the first floor, next to the large bar and a magnificent mezzazzine room, which wraps around a fireplace.
When I saw this, I immediately imagined events, birthdays, weddings; the place being ideal for groups! In short, if you have something to celebrate, think of Yeti, contact them here !
Concerts and BBQ
Let’s talk about events. Grégoire has already thought about it and offers you BBQ every Sunday at noon! With friends or family, there is a way to have a good time.
For lively evenings, don’t miss the live concerts once a week. Find the program on the restaurant Facebook page.
Simple but effective map
Le Yéti offers a brasserie cuisine. For small and big hunger, return of hike or dinner dressed, the menu will necessarily suit you. Starters, main courses, burgers, Savoyard specialties, poke bowls, salads and even boards to share; you can’t help but enjoy yourself.
Everything is cooked on the spot and the quality-price ratio is very good. I must admit that two lines of the menu jumped out at me:
- My festive vice tells me to fall for their famous house cocktail: L’Aiguille! A mix of génépi, home-made blueberry syrup, lime and schweppes, at, hold on to your hat, 7 € ! So it makes you thirsty, right?
- My greediness tells me to melt for the individual chocolate fondue. A fondue pot of melted chocolate with fruits and marshmallows just for me, at 10 €… No, frankly, I can’t fight.
A promising future
As you will see, the Yeti team is getting into place. It’s not easy to bring back to light a restaurant that was once famous before being closed for many years.
Imagine that in the middle of the terrace a superb swimming pool is enthroned! Currently inoperative, it should recover its pretty blue color and its heated water next summer. Isn’t that the scoop?
Imagine having lunch in the sun, eyes riveted on the Chardonnet (the mountain, not the bottle) and then splashing around in the pool among the wading poolers. Can you see yourself there already? Well, you’ll have to wait a little longer. You don’t believe me? Go and see!
If the memory of the yeti of yesteryear is still present or if your curiosity towards the new is seriously itching, go and visit the Yeti in the Grand Roc d’Argentiere gallery.
Grégoire and his team will be happy to welcome you, whether for lunch, dinner or just a drink during a concert. And if you come back from a hard hike, come and enjoy a plate of cold cuts or cheeses!
