A friend asked me what I would recommend for a romantic restaurant with a beautiful view in Chamonix. This kind of request usually hides a scoop although it has asked me to keep a low profile. To respect her privacy, I immediately thought of Akashon, the restaurant at the Heliopic Hotel, which in patois means, confidential. Between us I couldn’t suggest better, no ?
A restaurant conducive to confidence
So there he is with his sweet window on Mont-Blanc, seated in this discreet, almost hidden restaurant. Not so discreet after all, since it has just been awarded a Bib gourmand by the Michelin Guide. My friend wanted to come out the big game because you understood, had a special request to make to his beautiful.
Romantic yes, but also pragmatic; the latter had been seduced by the Gourmet Menu and its food and wine pairing at € 85. (Amuse-bouche, Arctic Char, Lobster or Beef tenderloin, Savoie cheese and its chutney, Pavlova or crispy caramel and chocolate + 4 glasses of wine including 1 glass of champagne. Mineral water and coffee / tea offered).
At least he knew in advance how much this evening was going to cost him. He could have opted for the € 32 Starter – Main – Dessert menu, but tonight’s occasion was worth much more than that!

Subdued atmosphere, homemade dishes based on local products, at Chef Julien Binet’s table, tongues are easy to loosen.
The general atmosphere relaxes this multifunctional organ while the taste buds, far from being insensitive to the aromas of refined dishes, jiggle like in a nightclub in Ibiza.
