I hope you’ve heard! The historic Savoyard specialty restaurant, Le Serac, changed ownership in December 2019. Didn’t you notice this winter, the energy the new team put into offering take-out and enlivening the rue Paccard with a good mulled wine, accompanied by a waffle or a crepe? You didn’t have time to discover their good French cuisine? Well, go and put your feet under the table of the lovely owners, Isa and François. This traditional restaurant deserves to be known!

Specialties, but not only

We would not make a tartiflette or a Savoyard pie? Yes in the middle of summer, why not? The good dishes and in particular our Savoyard specialities have no season! That’s all we need! Yes, but my girlfriend doesn’t think so. She would rather have a traditional French dish, like snails or lamb chops. Not less caloric, but just as delicious.
The Sérac by Isa comes to mind as a matter of course!
If she ever has a “I have to watch my figure” crisis (I know her), she can opt for a niçoise style salad or a poke bowl.
In any case, whatever you choose, it’s all about fresh products and homemade food. In other words, it’s good and it feels like home. I wish I could have a cottage this well decorated…
Slate of the week

Every week, the Chef offers suggestions of the day’s dishes. From Monday to Friday, you can taste a different dish. Typically, on Monday it can be the butcher’s piece and on Friday, fillets of perch. The suggestion of the slate is only 14€. Ideal for a good lunch, isn’t it?
A pampered wine cellar
Gourmets and gourmands, we agree, we don’t go to lunch or dinner without a good glass of wine! At the Sérac by Isa, François and Martial keep their wine cellar like a treasure. Are you hesitating which wine to choose with the beef tartar or the semi-cooked tuna? Martial, the Bordelais of the team, passionate about oenology, will advise you with great pleasure and will tell you everything about their wine list.
The plus of the restaurant: the patio

That evening, my friend and I reserved a table on the patio. A small space to the right of the restaurant, this more intimate terrace looks like a guinguette. The garlands of lights give a festive atmosphere and guarantee a good time. Besides, we told some nonsense and asked Martial for a good wine again. Oh, the naughty ones…
Smile included
What is really appreciable at Sérac by Isa is the smile and the good mood of the owners and the waiters. It’s so nice to be well received. They are really friendly and welcoming, sincerely. They are really nice people and you can feel it in the whole staff.
Specialties and takeaways

After having delighted hundreds of confined mouths with the takeaway, the specialty restaurant continues this service. So, if you prefer to eat at home a good home cooked dish, you can always order from the Serac. The novelty is that the Comcom is a partner of the restaurant and provides them with returnable glass containers to reduce waste and that’s really great!
Sunny terrace in the heart of Chamonix
From the morning coffee to the 3pm coffee, on the terrace of the Sérac by Isa, in the palpitation of the rue Paccard, don’t forget your sunglasses. I can tell you that we appreciate the awning that keeps us from baking and the tarps in case of rain.

Whether you’re inside or outside, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, a charming chalet-restaurant. Go see if you don’t believe me!
Well then, if you haven’t yet gone to try the Sérac by Isa? Whether you feel like a timeless Savoyard speciality or a good traditional French recipe, don’t wait any longer, book a table! Open 7/7 for lunch and dinner. You will be seduced by your plate, the decoration and the welcome. Want to bet?
