100% of the gourmets have tried their luck there and come back regularly. Le Boccalatte is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. You might as well say that its reputation is well established. Lunch on the terrace or an impromptu dinner, this is the restaurant where people like to go with friends, family and even for a romantic dinner.
At the table, the relaxed atmosphere leads to stories that make you cry with laughter, while the walls of this Chamonix brasserie honor history, with a capital H. From authentic calendar pages of a plane that crashed on the Bossons glacier to photos of Italian mountaineer Gabriele Boccalatte, this is a place of memory.

Copious and delicious
Instead of snickering at the table, perhaps we should choose. Then, maximum concentration, because the choice is hard. Between the famous tartar cut with a knife, one of the best in the valley, the gargantuan sauerkraut, speciality of the house, the Savoyard dishes with cheese (fondue, raclette, tartiflette…) which are always tempting, the whole menu of the restaurant makes you salivate!
Finally, everyone found what they were looking for: veal escalope from Savoy, Perigord salad, snails, and a complete fondue for those who love tradition.
The rate of speech at the beginning of the meal was slowed down when our bellies started to brush against the table. It’s not plates that the waiters of the Boccalatte bring us, but dishes, casseroles, caquelons. As a result, you are really a winner when you have sautéed your plate.

For lunch, the Boccalatte offers you a formula at 15,50€ (Starter+Main course or Main course+Dessert) and this, every day of the year. Based on fresh products, this daily menu changes daily.
Alternatively, you can plan ahead, book your evening, get dressed up, and sit on the terrace with a good Spritz in hand. Enjoy the sunset, the iridescent colors of the mountains, the impeccable service of the Boccalatte and its hearty dishes.
The French cuisine is honored, the waiters are efficient and friendly. You have only one thing to do: enjoy these moments of happiness!
Savoyard specialties, salads or traditional French dishes, Le Boccalatte offers a more than tempting menu. The choice is consequent, but that does not detract from the quality of the dishes and the flavors. If I have any advice to give you, you should book a table. You can’t come to Chamonix without eating here!
